In response to inquiries from speakers about possible spam emails, we note that the IXS2024 team has not asked any company to act as intermediaries for arranging accommodations. However, as is standard, speakers are listed on the IXS2024 web page. Thus, the information that speakers are expected in Himeji from 8-13 September is out there, and one guesses that, as is true for nearly all academics, it is probably not hard to find someone’s email address from publications or other listings. Let us know if you prefer not to be listed on the web page. In particular, some speakers have received targeted emails purporting to be from a company called “Global Travel.” – this company has nothing to do with IXS2024, and we strongly suggest you do not reply.

Himeji city is famous for one of the best-preserved castles in Japan. Himeji castle is one of the world cultural heritages first certified in Japan. The castle has a nickname of “white egret” due to its brilliant white walls. The castle has been built in 1609 and has been kept its original shape.
